A Force for Innovation

George Mason University’s 134-acre Science and Technology Campus serves more than 4,000 students in innovative facilities specially designed for classrooms, laboratories, libraries, recreation, and the arts.

Programs of Study

The campus focuses on research and academic programs in the life sciences, information technology, health and fitness, nursing, teacher education, recreation, sport management, tourism and events management, and athletic training.

The Science and Technology Campus features a state-of-the-art Biomedical Research Laboratory and the recently launched Institute for Advanced Biomedical Research, a multidisciplinary facility that will pursue some of the toughest medical questions facing society.

Our Location

Mason’s Science and Technology Campus is the nucleus of Innovation Park, the largest research business park in Northern Virginia. The campus is surrounded by advanced technology companies and agencies, working on the cutting edge of their fields.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center entertains, educates, and enriches the Northern Virginia community by providing diverse and accessible arts experiences in state-of-the art venues.

A George Mason University Campus

The Science and Technology Campus (formerly known as the Prince William Campus) was established in Manassas, Virginia, in 1997. This campus provides convenient university access for citizens of Prince William, Fauquier, and western Fairfax counties; the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, and adjoining areas to the west and south. The campus is often referred to as SciTech.

Campus resources available to all university students, faculty, and staff include a full-service library, large drop-in computer lab, information center, University Police, university bookstore, dining services, student lounge, shuttle bus service between the Fairfax and SciTech Campuses, and full complement of student and academic services. In addition, there are numerous opportunities to get involved in campus life through a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
