Arts and Entertainment

Hylton Performing Arts Center entertains, educates, and enriches the Northern Virginia community by providing diverse and accessible arts experiences in state-of-the art venues, located at George Mason University's Science and Technology Campus.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center boasts 85,000 square feet of beautiful and unique spaces to serve our community.

Facility Rentals: The Hylton Center offers the perfect backdrop for any occasion — creating a truly memorable event! The venue's facilities are perfect for performances, corporate meetings, banquets, weddings, ceremonies, and receptions.

George Mason students enjoy complimentary tickets to any Hylton Presents performance. George Mason faculty/staff are eligible for discounted ticket subscription packages.

Mercer Library

Located on the Science and Technology Campus, Mercer Library is part of the George Mason University Libraries system and provides full access to all George Mason-owned print and electronic resources. Mercer Library specializes in Health Sciences, Biodefense, Bioinformatics, Criminology, Gaming, Security, and Computer Science.

Computer terminals with internet access, Microsoft Office, and SPSS are available to affiliated patrons.

Mercer Library also has group study rooms available for reservation.

Living on Campus

Beacon Hall apartments, located on the Science and Technology Campus, are available to graduate students.  Free transportation between the SciTech and Fairfax campuses is available for all George Mason students via Mason Shuttles.

  • Accommodations include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bed/two-bath apartments.
  • Each apartment is fully furnished with full kitchens including a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer.
  • Rates include all utilities, cable TV, local telephone service, and Internet.
