What classes are offered at the Science and Technology Campus?

The Science and Technology Campus hosts classes from many of George Mason's colleges and schools. Exact classes and programs may vary by semester. A complete list of courses offered across George Mason University’s campuses and sites can be found in the University Catalog.

 


 

Is there a shuttle from the Fairfax Campus to the Science and Technology Campus?

Yes, George Mason Shuttles provide service between the Fairfax and Science and Technology Campuses. The shuttle stops in front of Colgan Hall, the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center, and the Hylton Performing Arts Center. The schedule is available at shuttle.gmu.edu.

 


 

Where can I get a George Mason photo ID?

Mobile ID cards may be obtained by following the instructions on the Mason ID website. Physical George Mason ID cards can be obtained in Beacon Hall, Room BE 1034. Visit the Mason ID website for current hours. 

 


 

Where can I park at the Science and Technology Campus?

Parking is available in the following parking lots: Cannn, Discovery Hall, Hylton Performing Arts Center, King, Occoquan, and Tower. The Freedom Center lot is only for Freedom, Aquatic & Fitness Center members. 30-minute free visitor parking is available in the Occoquan lot. What dining options are available at the Science and Technology Campus?

Randall’s Café in Colgan Hall offers a variety of food options, including Starbucks Proudly Brewed coffee. Vending machines are located across campus. Retail dining is also available in Beacon Hall, including Mum Mum Thai and Kabob Zone.

 


 

Is there a Lost and Found on campus?

All items are turned over to George Mason Police, located in Colgan Hall, Room 225B. Contact George Mason Police at 703-993-8370 to request information about a lost item.

Can I pay tuition at the Science and Technology Campus?

No, there is no Cashier's Office located at the campus. However, students may make payments online or visit the Cashier's Office located at the Fairfax Campus.

 


 

Is there a recreation facility on the Science and Technology Campus?

Yes, there is the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. Full-time George Mason students receive a free membership.  Discounted memberships are offered to George Mason faculty, staff, and part-time students.

 


 

Where are the police located on the Science and Technology Campus?

The George Mason Police office is located in Colgan Hall, Room 225B. Contact 703-993-8370 to reach the George Mason Police non-emergency line. In an emergency, dial 911.

 


 

How do I reserve space to hold an event on the Science and Technology Campus?

Is there a Print Hub at Science and Technology Campus?

The campus Print Hub is located in Katherine G. Johnson Hall, Room 108. Copy machines are available inside campus buildings for general printing needs.

 


 

Is there a drop-in computer lab on the Science and Technology Campus?

Yes, there are two locations.  Please see the locations listed below:

  • Katherine G. Johnson Hall, Room 250.  Hours:  Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Mercer Library, Colgan Hall, Room 104.  Please call 703-993-8499 or visit Mercer Library for more information.

 


 

Are there study spaces for students on the Science and Technology Campus?

There are casual informal study spaces across the SciTech campus that can be utilized. If you are seeking more formal or reservable study spaces, please see the locations listed below:

  • The Life Sciences and Engineering Building offers many study room spaces for reservation, located throughout the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.  Please visit Study Rooms - SciTech Campus to reserve your study space.
  • Mercer Library, Colgan Hall, Room 104.  Please visit their Space Availability to reserve your study space.
  • The Source, Katherine G. Johnson Hall, Room 122.  Hours: Monday-Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please visit The Source for additional information.

 


 

Is there a meditation space on the Science and Technology Campus?

Yes, a meditation space is located on the third floor of Katherine G. Johnson Hall. Please visit University Life's Quiet Meditation Space for times of availability.

There is also a relaxation space on the 4th floor of the Life Science and Engineering building that can be used as a meditation space.


 

Is there a lactation space on the Science and Technology Campus?

Yes, a lactation space is located on the second floor of Colgan Hall, Room 209. Please visit University Life's Private Lactation Space to register for use of this space.

There is also a relaxation space on the 4th floor of the Life Science and Engineering building that can be used as a lactation space.
