Hilde and her greeting cards
Hilde painted for her own pleasure and for the joy of others. She was known to hand paint greeting cards that she sent to relatives and friends, in particular as birthday and holiday greetings. According to her husband Harold, every year she spent three to four months painting her greeting cards.
In honor of her passion, using copies of original paintings donated to the university, we have created greeting card sets. Each set includes six different cards, on heavy card stock paper, 5x7 inches in size, and blank inside for your personal message, and envelopes.
A set of the greeting cards is $10 plus tax and can be picked up at the Science and Technology campus in Manassas, can be mailed (shipping is additional), or sent through inter-campus mail to faculty and staff at other Mason campuses.
100% of proceeds are used for the care and maintenance of the Vogel Collection.
